THE SANCTUARY IS AN INVITATION FOR YOU TO MEET YOURSELF AGAIN (AND AGAIN) AT YOUR ALTAR.

We are a 100% sustainable Black queer woman (Olòrìṣà) owned apothecary, botánica, apparel, and home decor boutique located in the heart of Oakland’s Grand Lake neighborhood. 

All of our apparel and home decor is sustainably made using eco-friendly organic and/or recycled materials. 

Our herbal products are handcrafted in our store. Each formula was developed by our co-founder, a trained Clinical Herbalist and Ayurvedic Health Counselor with over a decade of experience. Every formula uses organic, non-gmo, fair trade ingredients that are locally sourced.

We are the only botánica in the Bay Area that offers fresh organic, non-gmo, fair trade ritual herbs. All of our custom spiritual baths, candles, oils, powders, sprays and other prepared amulets are prepared traditionally and divined upon in-house. We also carry the best selection of ethically sourced handmade Lukumí, Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, and Palo spiritual tools/supplies and ceremonial ingredients. We are honored to serve our community with the utmost ìwà pẹ̀lẹ́ and a deep knowledge of the indigenous African spiritual traditions of which we are a part. We ensure that all the items we offer are crafted centering culture and with an high-level of expertise unavailable anywhere else.
