These Ìdẹ́fá represent a practitioner's connection or initiation to Ìfá or specifically the òrìṣà Ọ̀rúnmìlà. Traditionally a person will receive Ìdẹ́fá from a Babaláwo or Ìyánífá (initiated priest). Ìdẹ́fá are often consecrated in rituals and ceremonies. Ìdẹ́fá, are known to provide protection against sickness, attraction of good luck, wealth, children, health, stability, long life, success and peace of mind, return of lost things.
