This year's Odu [Message] of the year is grounded in the energy of Ogun & Oya. These African forces of nature remind us to do our work: both the individual and communal work. By staying in alignment with our destiny, this keeps us in the eye of the storm. Our work is the only way through.
What is Work? Work is the necessary actions we need to take to see our becoming through to its fullest potential. It is the “to-do’s” that nurture our genius.
When we say work, we’re not talking about your daily busy tasks or the clock you punch to make money. We’re talking about the work that tunes your character (iwa pele). We’re talking about the work that allows your genius to express itself fully so that it becomes an offering to humanity. We all have more we can become.
So whether it's a phone call you have to make that will align you…
Or you need to give offerings to your Ancestors, Elder, or Teacher in your life…
Or you need to begin that movement meditation practice you’ve been meaning to start…
Or you need to put more effort into saving money and creating a budget…
Or you have outstanding goals that need to be seen through to completion…
Whatever it is (only you know) this is the year to look in the mirror and not slack off in your effort to do YOUR work.
Limit the distractions that keep you from being the truest and fullest you that you can be. This isn’t the year to just go off vibes. Be intentional about your ish!
One of the beautiful gifts we get in our life is the ability to be an artisan. Like Ogun and his iron, we get to shape, transform, and mold our lives. We use our Ase, our transformative power, to imprint the Universe. Ogun is Ase. Ogun is the transformative push that births new realities. He is the iron in our blood that strengthens us to keep going and keep us fortified.
Use this year to learn. Deepen your knowledge of the things you’ve been called to do. Like iron, fashion yourself into a stronger, wiser you. You deserve it!

As always we’re available to support with spiritual readings and ori cleansings.
