Cultural Note

Ògún is a warrior and a powerful primordial òrìṣà (Divine Force of Nature) of metal work, known as the "god of iron" in indigenous West African spiritual traditions. In some traditions, Ògún is said to have cleared a path for the other òrìṣà to enter Earth. Ògún is a fierce protector and clearer of obstacles.
