Botanical description

Arjuna is a large, evergreen to semi-deciduous tree native to the Indian subcontinent, commonly found along riverbanks and in moist, fertile regions. It can grow up to 20–25 meters tall and is known for its broad, spreading crown and thick trunk. The tree has smooth, grayish bark that naturally peels in thin sheets, and its bark is the primary part used medicinally. Its leaves are simple, oblong to elliptic, and arranged in clusters near branch ends. Arjuna produces small, pale yellow flowers and woody, fibrous fruits.
