Cultural Note
Palo Santo means or “Holy Wood” in Spanish. A relative of frankincense and myrrh trees, Palo Santo has been used in Central and South America for centuries in rituals and ceremonies for cleansing, purification, and uplifting light energy. This has also been used by indigenous communities for repelling mosquitos as well as for preserving things from beer to mummies. We invite you to work with this plant respectfully and intentionally.
